Wayne Kilgore

Wayne Kilgore didn’t have a care in the world. So friendly and always jolly, he was an easy-going, good guy.

Wayne was called from this life Sunday afternoon Jan. 3, 2016 from OhioHealth Mansfield Hospital. He was 78.

Born June 13, 1937 in Bellville to Paul and Eunice (Zolman) Kilgore, he graduated from Bellville High School in 1956 and served with the U.S. Army during the Korean War, and was a member of Naylor post of the AMVETS and American Legion Post #535 in Bellville.

He worked as a carpenter, notably with Morrison Building Company. A true sports fan, Wayne was conversant in every baseball, basketball and football team, every player and every coach. He’d have two or three television screens playing each weekend to follow as many games he could at once.

He is survived by his longtime partner Bonnie Wise; his daughter Shelly; his brothers Ronald and the Rev. Carol Ann Kilgore of Lucas and Lowell Kilgore of Deerfield Beach, Florida; his sister Paulette & Ted Kuhn, of Bellville; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by a brother Allen Kilgore and a sister Elaine Kilgore.

The Bellville Snyder Funeral Home is honored to serve the Kilgore family with private graveside services in Bellville Cemetery.

Memorial contributions to his family for final expenses may be made to the funeral home.
