Margaret L. “Peggy” Hall

Margaret L. “Peggy” Hall, 86, of Galion, died peacefully at her home, on Friday, Jan. 1, 2016.

Peggy was born in Washington D.C. on Nov. 22, 1929 to the late Lewis and Margaret C. (Snyder) Loan. She married Clyde W. Hall on Valentine’s Day, Feb. 14, 1990 and he survives her. Peggy was preceded in death by her first husband, Douglas W. Loan on Feb. 10, 1986.

Peggy moved to the Galion area in early 1940s. She was a member of the First Lutheran Church, Galion. Peggy was also a member of the American Legion Post 243, Galion.

She was employed by the former North Electric Company in Galion. Peggy was a wonderful homemaker and loved animals. She liked to gamble and go to flea markets. She enjoyed canning and gardening. Peggy and Clyde enjoyed many years of travelling together.

She is survived by her two daughters; Donna Strauch, of Sebring, Fla., Patti Stevens, of Galion, five grandchildren; William D. Strauch, Stacey J. Chubb, Robert D. Strauch, David P. Stevens, Tricia A. Brady, 17 great grandchildren, seven great-great grandchildren, her three step children; William Hall, of Cincinnati, John Hall, of South Carolina, Kristina Corbin, of Galion, six step-grandchildren, and one step great-grandchild. 

In addition to her first husband, she was preceded in death by her son, Thomas Loan.

Friends may call Thursday, Jan. 7, 2016 from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. at the Mark A. Schneider Funeral Home, 303 Portland Way North, Galion. Funeral services will be held at the Mark A. Schneider Funeral Home, Galion on Friday, Jan. 8, 2016 at 1 p.m., with Pastor Matt Wheeler officiating. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery, Galion.
