Timothy “Tim” Kuhn, 61, of Mansfield, passed away unexpectedly, on Saturday, Dec. 26, 2015.
Tim was born on Jan. 19, 1954, in Willard, to Jack E. and Virginia A. (Tucker) Kuhn. He was employed at AK Steel and was a proud Steel Workers member of the Union Local 169.
He loved to spend time with his family, especially his grandsons, and he was a very proud dad. He enjoyed watching his kids and grandkids play sports, and for many years, he was their coach in softball, soccer, and baseball. He also coached other teams, and enjoyed umpiring softball games. After retiring from coaching and umpiring, he would unofficially coach and umpire in the stands. He was a mentor to many kids in the neighborhood as well.
Tim loved to ride his Harley, and enjoyed fishing and making people laugh. He was known as a character and family comedian, and always had a smile.
Along with his mother, Virginia Kuhn, he is survived by his wife, Pam (Miller) Kuhn; two children, Amanda Mae Kuhn-Sallah, of Columbus, and Rory James (Sissy) Kuhn, of Shiloh; three grandsons, Marcus Hamons, Aaron Kuhn, and Jaxon Kuhn; three siblings, Marquis Kuhn of Woodside, California, Bryan (Kim) Kuhn, of Walton, Kentucky, and Ann (Scott) Furlong, of Talent, Oregon; and many nieces and nephews.
Tim was preceded in death by his father, Jack Kuhn.
Calling hours will be from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. on Sunday, Jan. 3, 2016 at Werner-Gompf Funeral Services, LTD., 1106 Park Avenue East, Mansfield, Ohio. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. on Monday, Jan. 4, 2016,at the funeral home, with Pastor Dallas Waggle officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Grove Memorial Park.
