Imogene Campbell, 96, of Delaware, Ohio, passed away Sunday, Dec. 27, 2015. She was born Oct. 4, 1919, in Lizemores, West Virginia, to the late Ira Theodore Baker and Mamie Dawson Baker.
An independent woman, she was very proud of her children and enjoyed reading and completing crossword puzzles. Sewing, crafting and especially making quilts, were a favorite pastime. Imogene was a sports lover and followed the Cincinnati Reds closely. Imogene retired from Montgomery Ward in Mansfield where she worked in inventory control.
She is survived by three children, Larry C. (Elizabeth G.) Campbell, of Timberville, Virginia, Daniel A. (Cheryl S.) Campbell, of Circleville, Ohio, and Janet L. (Ronald L.) Hoover, of Delaware, Ohio; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; one great-great grandson; and a sister, Bina (Robert) Booker, of Indianapolis, Indiana. She was preceded in death by her husband, Russell M. Campbell, Jr.; two grandchildren; a great-grandson; and a sister, Bonivere Terrack.
The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 29, 2015, in the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 100 S. Lexington-Springmill Rd. The funeral service conducted by Pastor Dave Carter will be Wednesday at 2 p.m. Burial will follow in Mansfield Memorial Park.
