Michael K. Poland Sr.

Michael K. Poland Sr., 68, of Loudonville, died unexpectedly Sunday, Dec. 20, 2015 at the Wooster Community Hospital.

He was born Nov. 25, 1947 in Mount Vernon, the son of Darrell and Betty Jean (Tipple) Poland. He spent his lifetime in the Mount Vernon and Loudonville areas. He was a 1965 graduate of Mount Vernon High School and earned an Associate Degree in Mechanical Engineering from the North Central Technical College.

He was retired from Hydromatic Pump Company in Ashland, and owned and operated Priority Pump. Mike remained a boy at heart, loving to collect model cars and toys and had a deep love for the Lord. Mike most enjoyed those special times he spent with his family, especially the grandchildren, as they were the sunshine in his day.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Julie (Kirkpatrick) Poland, his daughters: Amber (Joe) Paullin, of Loudonville, Tara (Travis) Constance, of Mansfield, Shana (Pete) Snyder, of Ashland and Robin (Jerry) Campbell, of Fredericktown; his son Michael K. (Lisa) Poland Jr., of Boonville, Indiana; grandchildren: Meghan, Brandon, Tori, Tristian, Brant, Brynley, Zayden, Liam, and Pierson; and great grandchildren: Bristol, Cash and Heath.

Mike was preceded in death by his parents. 

The family will receive friends on Sunday, Dec. 27, 2015 from 1 to 3 p.m. at the Lindsey Funeral Home, Loudonvile. There will be a brief Time of Sharing Service to follow at 3 p.m.
