Erika Boor

Erika Boor, 42, of Lexington, Ohio died Sunday morning, Dec. 6, 2015.

She was born July 14, 1973, in Willard, Ohio, to James and Phyllis (Wallace) Faulkner.

Erika was a 1991 graduate of Plymouth High School. She also graduated from MedCentral School of Nursing, Case Western Reserve University and earned her Nurse Practitioner license through Akron University. She had also attended The Ohio State University.

A loving, caring, and compassionate woman, she was perfectly suited to her career as a nurse practitioner. Putting other’s needs before her own was second nature to Erika. Above all, her family was her most important priority. Erika was passionate about her work. She treated and cared for every patient as if they were her family. She was passionate about women’s health and was always educating her patients to ensure they had the best health-care services.

Erika loved being anywhere there was a beach and ocean. Mexico and Florida were among her favorite destinations. Having pool parties and entertaining friends and family were a treasured activity. Erika adored animals and had a special place in her heart for Great Danes. She loved the freedom of riding her Harley Davidson and the atmosphere of an outdoor concert, especially her favorite bands, Scorpions, Def Leppard and the Crue with Andy and her friends.

Erika loved basketball — she was the biggest fan of her nephews, Graig, Brett and Brook, when they were on the court in high school. She loved watching the Cavs play and relaxing on the couch with Andy after working all day.

She is survived by her husband, Andy Boor, whom she married on Aug. 16, 1997. She leaves behind her beloved 6-year-old daughter, Kylee; mother, Phyllis Faulkner; father, James Faulkner, sister, Cindy Turson; brother, Andy (Paula) Faulkner; father-in-law and mother-in-law, James and Sharon Boor; brother-in-law, Mason Boor (Kathy Quinn-Boor); many aunts, uncles and cousins; special aunts, Sue Hill and Shirley Freyer; nieces and nephews, Graig, Brett, Brook, Jaqui, Phillip, Gracie, Claire and Zella; treasured friend and colleague, Pat Conn; her beloved Great Danes, Riley and Reagan; and her law enforcement and nursing families.
