MANSFIELD, Ohio – The North End Community Improvement Collaborative (NECIC) will host the first North End Farmers Market of the 2015 season on June 2 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Gateway Resource Center, which is located at 486 Springmill Street (corner of Springmill and Bowman Street).
Vendors will offer a variety of produce including lettuce, beets, cilantro, parsley, strawberries, spinach, kale and green onions. Also available will be sourdough breads, cookies, biscotti, candies, jams and jellies, herb mixes, blueberry muffins, North End honey, pottery, crafts, scented oils, sprays and incense sticks.
Sister Nadine will facilitate pottery demonstrations during the market on June 2. She will also be selling her creations.
The market accepts EBT benefits and is able to double the benefits for Ohio Direction card shoppers (up to $20) for the purchase of fresh produce at the market, thanks to the Fran and Warren Rupp Donor Advised Fund of the Richland County Foundation.
