Beatrice L. Staats Elkins, 84, formerly of Galion, died Friday, May 1, 2015 at Marion Manor Nursing Home, Marion.
Beatrice was born on May 11, 1930 to the late Charles W. and Frances May (Vian) Seitz. She married Fred Staats and he preceded her death in 1980 and she then married Ed Elkins on May 11, 1996 and he preceded her in death on June 1, 2011.
Beatrice attended the Southern Baptist Church.
She is survived by her four sons: Fred Staats & Beverly Johnson of Marion, Farron & Jane Staats of Mooresville, NC, Richard Staats of Galion and Harlan Staats of Mansfield, her fourteen grandchildren, her twenty great grandchildren and her eight brothers: Dowel Seitz, Mt. Gilead, Charlie Seitz, Cardington, Kenny Seitz, Mt. Vernon, Floyd Seitz, Springboro, Robert Seitz, Sunbury, Jasper Seitz, Cardington and Jacob Seitz.
She was preceded in death by her infant son Leroy and sons: Larry, Don and Raymond, her daughter Gloria Trendowcz, her sister Eldora Kost, her brother John Seitz and one granddaughter.
