MANSFIELD, Ohio–A suspect was arrested Wednesday by members of a U.S. Marshall Task Force in connection with the March 29 shooting at 111 1/2 Wood St. in Mansfield.

Ashton Auflick, 16, was arrested on an attempted murder warrant at 40 S. Linden Road, Apt. 16, according to a press release from the Mansfield Police Department. Auflick will be charged with Attempted Murder with Firearm Specification, a first-degree felony.

Auflick’s girlfriend, Glorinda Lane, 19, was also arrested on charges of second-degree felony Obstruction of Justice for harboring Auflick as he evaded police for the past week.

Both Auflick and Lane were arrested without incident, the press release said.

The task force received information that Auflick and Lane were staying at the Linden Road address. According to the press release, when marshals attempted to make contact with her, she refused to open the door or acknowledge law enforcement for several minutes.

Dorian Voltaire, 28, was shot twice in the stomach in what appears to be an attempted robbery at 111 1/2 Wood St., and authorities believed Auflick was shot in the same encounter before running to Blymyer Avenue.

There are no more details to release at this time as to what led to the shooting as the investigation remains ongoing. Anyone with information of this incident is urged to contact Major Crimes Sgt. Ken Carroll at (419) 755-9761 or Detective Dave Scheurer at (419) 755-9748.
