OhioHealth MedCentral Hospice is looking for volunteers to help with direct care activities and a number of other volunteer or outreach tasks. Orientation will be held in the hospice conference room at 1020 Cricket Lane, Mansfield, on April 14 to 16, from 12 noon until 4 p.m.
Direct care volunteer work includes visiting with the patient, running household errands, assisting with reading or correspondence, providing bereavement support to family members and taking part in veteran recognitions.
Other volunteer tasks include telephone calls, clerical support to office staff or assisting with special programs. Outreach volunteers may undertake sewing projects or prepare children’s care kits.
