Fred “Coop” Cooper

Fred “Coop” Cooper, 76, of Mansfield, passed away Saturday, March 7, 2015 at home.

The son of Jack and Josephine (Sowards) Cooper-Breeze, Fred was born April 8, 1938 in Portsmouth.

Fred worked in Mansfield for the former Empire Detroit Steel, and also worked as a painter.

He loved classic cars and was a car show enthusiast.

He is survived by his children Tammy Cooper, Hazel (Truman) Lyons, Fred Cooper-Tackett, Sondra (Randy) Sesco, Fred (Amber) Cooper; mother Josephine Cooper-Breeze; 12 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; siblings Jack (Georgia) Cooper, Augusta (Dick) Burdine, Estill, Jr. (Becky) Breeze, Gwen (Al) Mullins all of Mansfield; special friend Sue Adkins; numerous extended family.

Fred was preceded in death by his wife Monna Myers-Cooper, father Jack Cooper, stepfather Estill Breeze, and sister Isabel Cooper.

The family will receive friends Friday, March 13, 2015 from 1-3 p.m. in the Marion Avenue Snyder Funeral Home where funeral services will begin at 3 p.m.
