Randy James Hughes

Randy James Hughes, 52, of Mansfield, died unexpectedly early Wednesday evening, March 4, 2015. He was born August 23, 1962, in Mansfield, Ohio, to James Gray Hughes and Sandra Jane (Lane) Hughes. 

By far, his favorite times were spent with his family and friends. Randy was a wonderful husband and father, and his family will treasure the fun times forever. 

Randy graduated from Crestview High School, which is where he met his wife, Kimberly Kochheiser. They were to have celebrated 27 years of marriage this month. Randy had a long career in the HVAC indsutry, and recently opened his own business, Hughes Repair. He was a problem solver who enjoyed being able to fix things. Randy could find an answer to any problem someone gave him. 

Randy loved his Harley Davidson motorcycle and 1984 Chevy Corvette. He enjoyed watching action movies, especially the Terminator and James Bond movies. He looked forward to his Friday night poker games and enjoyed a casino trip now and then. 

He is survived by his loving wife, Kim Hughes; three children, Joshua (Larissa) Hughes, Cody (Kali) Hughes and Jessica Hughes; two grandsons, Clint and Cole Hughes; parents, Jim and Sandy Hughes; a sister, Brenda (Greg) Cantleberry; parents-in-law, Larry (Susan) Kochheiser and Marge Kochheiser; a sister-in-law, Karen Kochheiser; and six nieces and nephews, Jeremy (Sherri) Gillam, Ryan (Mandy) Gillam, Amanda Gillam, Travis Cantleberry, and Makayla and Austin Kochheiser.

A memorial service conducted by Pastor Bruce Copley will be held Monday, March 9, 2015, at 11 a.m. in Cornerstone Free Will Baptist Church, 1602 Walker Lake Road, Ontario. The family will receive friends beginning at 10 a.m. Memorial contributions may be made in care of the family. The Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors is honored to serve the family.
