Jolene E. Brooks passed away Wednesday, March 4, 2015 in Kindred Hospital in Cleveland surrounded by her family. She was 70.
She was born August 14, 1944 to parents George Erow & Kenita (Dailey) Erow Winbigler in Marion, Ohio. Jolene graduated from Chesterville High School with the class of 1962. Not long after high school Jolene and Ronald Brooks met while two stepping on the dance floor and were married shortly after on May 28, 1963. They spent 52 wonderful years together.
Jolene took great pleasure in being a homemaker and taking care of her family. She was well known for her stuffed peppers and roast beef with mashed potatoes. Jolene was easy to talk to and loved the company of others.
In spare time, she took pleasure in collecting bells and watching movies. But above all, Jolene cherished spending time with Ronald and spoiling her children and grandchildren.
She is survived by her loving husband, Ronald Brooks of Mansfield; children, Paul (Linda) Brooks of Mansfield, Paula Brooks (Kenny) Cook, and Rebekah Brooks and her Fiancé Brian Riedlinger; grandchildren, William, Jonathan, Tyler, Lauren, Alison, Emily, Samuel, and Lindsey; great grandchildren, Liam and Llilian; sister, Gladys Knight, and special friends Chris Parker and Anna Rebel.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother.
Family and friends may call 4 – 7 p.m. at the Lexington Avenue Snyder Funeral Home on Monday, March 9, 2015. Graveside services will be held Tuesday, March 10, 2015 at 11 a.m. in Maple Grove Cemetery in Chesterville, Ohio.
