Patti Luckie, 62, of Shelby, passed away Thursday, February 19, 2015, at her home. She was born April 12, 1952, in Mansfield, Ohio, to Emmett Bond, Sr. and Stella B. (Waddell) Bond.
Patti graduated from Plymouth High School in 1970. She was employed as the Community Service Director at MRM Community Action for more than 30 years and was instrumental in the development of Harmony House. Her love and passion for the past three years has been helping her niece, Amy, in her Western store. Patti loved selling boots!
Patti had spent many years being the caregiver of sick family members, and was the pillar of strength amongst her family. She was very giving of her heart and knowledge. She had a heart of gold and will be deeply missed by everyone who knew her.
Patti is survived by her father, Emmett Bond, Sr.; sons, Greg Luckie and Craig Powers; foster brother, Bill Swisher; three nieces, Amy (Scott) Bond-Puntel, Kirsten (Gary) Buchanan and Tracey Bond; and a host of cousins, aunts, uncles, great-nieces and nephews, great aunts and uncles and wonderful friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Allen in 2010; mother, Stella B. Bond in 2008; and brother, Emmett Bond, Jr. in 2006.
The family will receive friends from 1-3 p.m. Tuesday, February 24, 2015, in the Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 98 S. Diamond St., Mansfield. Elder Louis Blevins will conduct the service which follows at 3:00 p.m. Burial in Mt. Hope Cemetery will be held Wednesday, February 25, 2015, at 1 p.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Patti may be made to her son, Greg.
