Mary Lou Smith, age 79, of McDonough, GA died Tuesday, February 17, 2015. She was born in Galion, OH to the late Arthur and Jennie Thoman. She was also preceded in death by her sisters, Grace Johnson and Ann Keyes. Mary Lou attended St. James The Apostle Catholic Church. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend to many.
Mary Lou is survived by her son, Eddie (Debbie) Smith of Orange City, FL; daughters, Carol (Steve) Lawson of Locust Grove, GA, Elizabeth Fortner of McDonough, GA; 11 grandchildren, Karey, Amanda, Keith, Michael, Timothy, Sarah, Joey, Kimberly, Brittany, Nicole, Rachel; great-grandchildren, Logan, Caleb, Jayce, Scarlette, Logan; brother, Arthur (Jodi) Thoman of Deland, FL; sister, Francis Reilly, Roscoe, IL; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Friends may call Monday from 9:45 am-10:45 a.m. at the Mark A. Schneider Funeral Home, 303 Portland Way N., Galion. A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, February 23 at Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Galion, with Fr. John Miller officiating.
