Glendon R. Mount, Sr., 49, of Mansfield, passed away on Tuesday, February 17, 2015, following a lengthy illness.
Glendon was born on March 15, 1965, in Mansfield, to Glendon W. Mount and Helen M. (Price) Cole. He was a big family man, and enjoyed spending time with them, especially having tea parties with his granddaughters. He also enjoyed the outdoors, including camping and fishing. He was an avid Cleveland Browns fan and NASCAR fan.
He is survived by his mother, Helen Cole of Mansfield; two children, Nikki (Mount) Abbott and Glendon (Brandi) Mount, Jr., both of Mansfield; four grandchildren, Trynitee Mount, Haileigh Mount, Kandyce Abbott, and Ian Adkins; one granddaughter on the way, Leann Mount; three brothers, Aaron (Judy) Price, Sam (Angel) Mount, and Michael (Audrey) Mount, all of Mansfield; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Glendon was preceded in death by his father, Glendon Mount; step-father, Troy Cole; paternal grandparents, Norman Mount and Ruth McCabe; and maternal grandparents, Howard Price and Laura Bell Searfos.
Calling hours will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Monday, February 23, 2015 at Werner-Gompf Funeral Services, LTD., 1106 Park Avenue East (St. Rt. 430E), Mansfield. Funeral services will follow at 1 p.m. with Pastor Paul Allen of Lenox Baptist Church officiating. Burial will be in Mansfield Cemetery.
