Jacqueline M. “Jackie” Roane

Jacqueline M. “Jackie” Roane passed away Wednesday afternoon January 28, 2015 in Mount Carmel East Hospital in Columbus. She was 59.

Born October 5, 1955 in Mansfield, Jackie was graduated from Mansfield Senior High, attended Mansfield Business College, and went on to graduate from Barbizon School of Modeling.

Jackie was a 35-year member of Mt. Calvary Baptist Church, and formerly sang in the church choir.

She worked in production with White-Westinghouse before accepting a position as a STNA with Woodlawn Nursing Home. More recently she worked with a caterer/bartender.

A skilled photographer, Jackie enjoyed traveling, playing BINGO, and thrifting, but her genuine focus was her family – those grandchildren were her world!

She is survived by her children Keith Roane-Rollison of Canton, Selina (Norven) Roane-Thomas of Blacklick and Brittoney Roane of Blacklick; eight grandchildren; her mother Emma Rollison of Canton; her special friend E’Rich Harrington of Columbus; brothers and sisters Richard (Eva) Rollison III of Warren, Cynthia Rollison of Massillon, Mitchell Scott Rollison and Carolyn Rollison both in Los Angeles, CA, Pamela (Charles) Shirley of Mansfield; cherished cousin Carol Ann Johnson of Mansfield; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father Everett Roane, her stepfather who raised her Richard Rollison; a sister Stephanie Brown and a brother Preston Vaughn Lindsay.

Her family will receive friends Tuesday, February 3, 2015 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. in Mt. Calvary Baptist Church, 343 N. Main St., Mansfield, where her funeral service will follow at 1 p.m. Dr. Williams will officiate.
