Fredericktown: William David Smith passed away Thursday morning, January 1, 2015 in Ohio Health Medcentral Mansfield Hospital surrounded by his family. He was 50.
He was born February 10, 1964 in Mansfield to parent’s James E. and Ida M. (Litteral) Smith. For many years David worked as a mechanic at Bud Carr’s Garage in Butler.
In spare time, he took pleasure in hunting and fishing. But above all, David cherished the Lord and his family. He attended Fredericktown Free Will Baptist Church.
He is survived by his loving daughters Teresa Smart (Shane Schaade) and Lacey Atherton (Justin Rose); five granddaughters Rebecca and Karlee Rodehaver, Emily Atherton, Jessie Smith, and Harmony Rose; Siblings Jessie (Tim) Pack, James (Tammi) Smith, Gary (Babe) Smith, Michael (Patty) Litteral, and Bobby (Loretta) Litteral.
David was preceded in death by parents.
A graveside service will be held Tuesday, January 6, 2015 at 11 am in Bunkerhill Cemetery. Pastor Aaron Boggs and Pastor Matt Pond will officiate.
