SHELBY — The Shelby Foundation has added Megan Finnegan Ratliff to its board of directors.
Ratliff, a 1997 graduate of Shelby High School, was raised in the Settlement community. After graduating from The Ohio State University, she spent more than 24 years in educational sales.
Ratliff and her family returned to Shelby in 2025 after living in Columbus for more than 27 years.
“I have known Megan my entire life,” said Carrie Kemerer, director of the foundation. “She is a dynamic leader, a strategic thinker, and someone who is deeply committed to this community.
“We are excited to welcome her voice and perspective to the board.”
“Megan’s experience in education, relationship-building, and community engagement further strengthens the board’s collective expertise as it continues its work to improve the quality of life in Shelby,” Kemerer said.

Ratliff joins the board after the departures of Ann Downs and Steve Curry (above), who each completed nine years of service. During their tenure, the foundation grew financially and expanded community engagement initiatives, including the 100+ Women for Shelby program.
The Shelby Foundation’s board of directors can include up to 15 members.
Established in 1986, The Shelby Foundation is a community foundation that manages charitable funds to support local grantmaking and community leadership in Shelby and the surrounding area.
