Fan-Fueled Game of the Week:

Each week we will bring you one game of the week.

FAN-FUELED GAME OF THE WEEK:

Ashland (4-3, 3-1) at Clear Fork (3-4, 1-3)

The Colts gave up nearly 300 yards through the air in last week’s 49-27 loss at Madison and will again have their hands full when Grant Denbow and Ashland’s high-flying aerial attack invade the Colt Corral. A sophomore, Denbow threw for five touchdowns in the first half of last week’s 49-6 win over Orrville and has thrown for more than 1,700 yards in seven games. Clear Fork’s Kadin Chrastina rushed for 191 yards and two touchdowns and completed 14 of 27 passes for 147 yards, including a 13 yard TD pass to Thomas Staab.

MORE COVERAGE:

Wooster (4-3, 3-1) at Mansfield Senior (3-4, 2-2)

The Tygers will look to bounce back after two straight losses, including last week’s ugly 45-14 setback at West Holmes. Senior High turned the ball over four times in the first half and gave up another long kickoff return for a touchdown to start the second half. It was the fourth time this season Senior High has allowed a kickoff return for a TD. Tyquan Vickers was the long bright spot, breaking a school record with a 99 yard touchdown run in the second quarter. Meanwhile, Wooster kept its playoff hopes alive with a 48-8 win over Lexington. The Generals, who have won three straight, limited Lex to 118 yards of total offense. Quarterback Cam Daugherty completed 9 of 11 passes for 169 yards. Wideout Marquise Blair caught five passes for 117 yards and reserve running back Tremaine Wilson rumbled for a career-high 132 yards on 18 carries. Mansfield Senior has won three straight but Wooster is 7-4 against the Tygers since Ohio Cardinal Conference play began in 2003.
