The Richland County Board of Elections has issued a revised voting schedule due to a court ruling dated Sept. 29.
Voters may vote early/absentee starting Tuesday October 7 for the November 4 general election.
Registered voters may vote in person at the board office located at 1495 W. Longview Avenue Suite 101. Voters are asked to use the building entrance at the rear of the Longview Center in the lower level parking lot at the southwest door.
Hours for absentee voting in person are as follows:
Weeks one and two of voting, beginning with the day after the close of registration for the election, except any holiday established by state law:
Oct. 7 through Oct. 10 — 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. (Tuesday through Friday)
Oct. 13 – Closed for Columbus Day (Monday)
Oct. 14 through Oct. 17 – 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. (Tuesday through Friday)
Week three of voting:
Oct. 20 through Oct. 24 – 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on each weekday (Monday through Friday)
Oct. 25 – 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday
Week four of voting:
Oct. 27 through Oct. 31 – 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on each weekday (Monday through Friday)
Nov. 1 – 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on the Saturday before the election
Nov. 2 – 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. on the Sunday before the election
Week of Election Day:
Nov. 3 – 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. on the Monday before the election
For mailed absentee ballots, request forms may be downloaded from the website at: www.richlandcountyoh.us/boe, or a letter requesting an absentee ballot be mailed to a voter is acceptable if it contains the following information:
- Voter’s name and Richland County address
- Address to mail ballot (if different than residence address)
- Voter’s signature (ballots will not be issued unless the request is signed by each individual voter)
- Voter’s birth date and one other form of identification such as the last 4 digits of their Social Security Number, driver’s license number or a copy of a current utility bill, government document or bank statement.
- A statement that you are a qualified voter
- The General Election date of November 4
The above information should be mailed or delivered to: Richland County Board of Elections, 1495 W. Longview Ave. Suite 101, Mansfield Ohio 44906. Requests for mailed absentee ballots must be received by the Board by noon on Saturday, Nov. 1.
