MANSFIELD — No one was injured Saturday night in a West Longview Avenue house fire, according to the Mansfield Fire Department.

Firefighters responded at 10:10 p.m. to a report of a structure fire in the 700 block of West Longview Avenue on the city’s north side.

Firefighters found a two-story home on fire. All occupants were out and no injuries were reported, the MFD said Sunday morning in a social media post.

Crews worked to contain the fire. An energized power line fell onto the fireground, adding to the hazards, firefighters said.

Crews remained on the scene until Sunday at 1:30 a.m.

The American Red Cross is assisting the displaced resident. The cause of the fire is under investigation.

Firefighters cautioned residents to stay clear of emergency scenes and treat all downed power lines as energized.
