Marilyn Hawkins, 66, of Mansfield, passed away late Monday evening, July 14, 2014 at her home. She was born March 31, 1948 in Dawson, Georgia to Cassie (McAfee) and Jimmie Crawford.
Marilyn was a Mansfield area homemaker most of her life. A quiet woman, she was always available to her family, most especially her grandchildren.
She is survived by four children, Linda Isley of Mexico, Laurie Davis of Mansfield, Claude Hawkins, Jr. of Michigan and Phillip Hawkins of Mansfield; 10 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; her mother, Cassie Crawford; one brother and two sisters, Nadine Parker, Barbara Crawford and Jimmie Crawford, all of Mansfield; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father, Jimmie Crawford and husband, Claude Alexander.
The family will receive friends from noon – 1:00 p.m. Saturday, July 19, 2014 in the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 100 S. Lexington-Springmill Road. A memorial service will follow at 1 p.m. with Pastor James Spencer of Peoples Baptist Church officiating.
