Ruth Drescher, 90, of Strongsville, OH died February 28, 2014. Born December 9, 1923 in Gottingen, Germany, she was the daughter of Paul and Rosa (Koch) Koppen. Ruth was a member of the Mansfield Liederkranz and First United Methodist Church.
Surviving are her sons, Bill R. Drescher, Gary W. Drescher, and Jack W. (Cathy) Drescher; grandchildren, Jeffrey W. Drescher, Caitlin S. Drescher, Courtney S. Drescher, and Christine S. Drescher; cousin, Margaret Langer; nephews, John (Pat) Fraifogl, Jerry Fraifogl, Jim (Mary) Fraifogl, and Richard Langer; and niece, Linda Langer (Matthew) Quinn.
Ruth was preceded in death by her husband, William R. Drescher; parents; and a sister.
Family and friends are invited to call on Tuesday, March 4, 2014 from 6-8 p.m. at the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 100 S. Lexington Springmill Rd., Ontario. Funeral services, conducted by Pastor Kent W. Joy, will be held Wednesday, March 5, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. Burial will follow in Mansfield Cemetery.
