Inez S. Gessling, 92, of Mansfield, OH passed away February 27, 2014 at the home of Charles and DeLee Gessling. Born December 30, 1921 in Bellville, she was the daughter of R.B. and Barbara O. (Maxwell) Snider. Inez graduated from Butler High School in 1940 and worked for Richland County Health Department as the registrar, where she retired from. She loved gardening, especially flowers, and tended to her gardens until she was 91. In her free time, Inez enjoyed playing cards, bird watching, and quilting. She attended Church of Christ on Mansfield-Lucas Rd.
Surviving are her daughter, Mary Ellen (Larry) Ramsey of PA; sons, Charles (DeLee) Gessling of Mansfield and Neal Gessling of Chandlersville, OH; and grandson, Josh B. (Jill) Gessling of Evansville, IN.
Inez was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Maurice Gessling; son, William M. Gessling; sister, Phyllis B. Berry; and brother, Max E. (Bette) Snider.
Family and friends are invited to call Sunday, March 2, 2014 from 2-5 p.m. at the Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 98 S. Diamond St., Mansfield. Funeral services, conducted by Edler Leon Bond, will be Monday, March 3, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow in Mansfield Cemetery.
