MANSFIELD — Local educators are invited to submit applications to receive grants from the Richland County Foundation.

A committee of community volunteers awards education grants for creative and innovative supplemental programs not covered by school funding.

The grants are given to K-12 teachers in public or private Richland County schools to encourage them to develop new programs for their classrooms.

The committee will prioritize requests which emphasize: Attendance, Literacy, Mathematics, and/or Career Advising.

Not Eligible for Funding:

 Awards and incentives
 Seating and furniture
 Storage containers and rugs
 Substitute teacher costs
 Physical technology items (cameras, printers, tablets, etc.)
