MANSFIELD — Parents of high school students are encouraged to explore an exciting summer learning opportunity as two High School Electronics Camps will be offered in June 2026, providing hands-on, real‑world exposure to electronics, technology, and technical career pathways.

The camps are hosted collaboratively by The Richland Area Chamber & Economic Development, The Ohio State University at Mansfield, and the 179th Cyberspace Wing.

Designed for students in grades 9 to 12, the camps combine interactive learning with practical skill development in a supportive, educational environment.

Two camp options are available to meet students at different experience levels:

The Electronics for Beginners camp will be held Monday, June 8, through Thursday, June 11, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. each day.

This camp is ideal for students with little to no prior electronics experience who want to learn how electronic systems work and explore how technology is used in everyday life and across a wide range of careers.

The Electronics for Intermediate Users camp will take place Monday, June 15, through Thursday, June 18 also from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

This session is designed for students who already have some familiarity with basic electronics concepts, including those who have completed the beginner camp or gained experience through coursework or hands‑on projects.

Throughout both camps, students will participate in hands-on projects, learn about electronic components and circuitry, and build problem‑solving and critical‑thinking skills.

Camp activities also introduce students to career pathways in electronics, manufacturing, engineering, cybersecurity, and other technical fields.

“These camps give students the opportunity to explore electronics in a fun, engaging, and practical way while learning about high-demand career options,” Mansfield-Richland Area Educational Foundation Director Angie Cirone said.

“It’s a great opportunity for students to build confidence, explore interests, and gain exposure to real-world applications of technology.”

Full details, including location and registration information, are available on the camp flyer and Chamber website. Space is limited, and early registration is encouraged.

Students are encouraged to complete the application, highlighting their interest in the program and how they plan to apply the knowledge and skills they gain.
