Results from Richland County’s Relay for Life are in—this year amounting to $68,475.14.
The fundraiser for cancer research and treatment saw support from 26 teams, 399 walkers, and 161 registered survivors.
Team Ohio Cancer Specialist reached the coveted “Emerald Level,” which is a feat no other Richland County team has accomplished before. They surpassed the $25,000 mark by raising $25,560.66.
The top fundraiser was Lyn Zartman from Ohio Cancer Specialist. She helped raise $13,404.
Co-captain of the Macy’s team, Dee Loescher, said, “We would like to thank Richland County, Madison Township, and all of the volunteers, walkers, and participants for helping make this a successful drive.”
She added, “Plans are already starting to be made for Relay 2014 and many groups will be doing fundraisers soon.”
