Edward L. Throckmorton, 74 of Galion passed away Saturday, Aug. 20, 2016 at home.
He was born Sept. 16, 1941 in Marion and was the son of Edward A. and Elmyra Jane (Samples) Throckmorton.
Edward proudly served his country in the United States Army and had worked for many years as a machinist for Galion Amco. He enjoyed bowling and target shooting.
Edward is survived by children Jill (Art) Stum, of Mansfield, Tabitha (Cecil) Landin, of Galion and Edward A. (Veronica) Throckmorton, of Mt. Gilead; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; brothers Donnie (Jane) Throckmorton, Kent and Ned Throckmorton; sisters Janel and Diane Throckmorton and Melanie Lutz and his former wife Beverly Throckmorton, of Galion.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by two daughters Julie Throckmorton and Teresa Johnson.
A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. on Sept. 3, 2016 at Iberia Cemetery with Rev. Jeff Pennington officiating. Full military honors will be conducted by the United States Army and Galion/Crestline Veterans Military Funeral Detail.
