Martha E. Swingler, 94, of Mansfield, Ohio, passed away Monday, Aug. 29, 2016, in Cedar Park, Texas.
She was born in Newport, Ohio, on Dec. 24, 1921, to Frank and Althea (Burga) Baker.
Martha was a loving and devoted mother and grandmother. She worked at Westinghouse for 12 years and then at Therm-O-Disc for four years.
Martha is survived by her son, Michael and Linda Swingler of Texas; her grandchildren, Tiffany Swingler, Michael Swingler Jr. and Matthew Swingler, all of Texas; and her great grandchild, “Zoey.” She is also survived by her grandson, Joseph (Tracy) Jensen and their four children, Nick, Luke, Erica and Jacob; her son-in-law, John James; and her sister, Mary Wynn, of Mansfield.
In addition to her parents, Martha is preceded in death by her husband, Dale C. Swingler; daughter, Sandra L. James; three brothers, Randall, Charles and Frank Baker; and sister, Lucille Edgar.
Visitation will be held on Monday, September 5, 2016, from 11 a.m. to noon at the Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 98 S. Diamond St. Mansfield, Ohio. Funeral services will follow at noon. Private burial will take place in Mansfield Memorial Park at a later date.
