BUCYRUS — The Crawford County Sheriff’s office is investigating a report of counterfeit money being passed at the Lincoln Highway garage sales in Crawford County this weekend.
Sheriff Scott Kent has asked the Bucyrus Area Chamber of Commerce to help make the business community aware of the presence of fake bills, especially with the approach of the Bratwurst Festival.
The Chamber asks all businesses to make sure that their employees are aware of the possibility of counterfeit bills, and apply due caution in accepting cash, especially $20 bills.
