MANSFIELD – The 6th-8th grade academic challenge teams concluded their academic challenge season this week.

“We want to congratulate all competitors but especially our winners for each tournament,” said the Mid-Ohio Educational Service Center.

May 12 (6th grade)

Sixth-grade teams: Ashland A & B; Colonel Crawford A & B; Crestline; Crestview A & B; Lexington A & B; Mansfield Christian A & B; Mansfield City; Mansfield Spanish Immersion A & B; Northmor A & B; Ontario A & B; Plymouth-Shiloh A & B; Sacred Heart; Shelby A & B; St. Mary’s of Mansfield; St. Mary’s of Wooster A & B; St. Peter’s; Triway A & B; Wooster A & B.

Colonel Crawford A won with a score of 101 to Wooster B’s 100 points. Colonel Crawford A was made up of Hudson Bond, Jason Phillips, Cole Niedermier, Allison Parr and Lainey Haldeman.

Wooster B’s team members were Cora Feierabend, Alec Feierabend, Harrison Sutter, Ethan Conrad, Matthew Norris, Chelsea Schantz, Eva Bacon, Ella Parthemore and Aubrey Thompson.

May 13 (7th-8th grade)

Seventh and eighth-grade teams: Colonel Crawford A & B; Crestline; Crestview A & B; Hillsdale; Lexington A & B; Madison; Mansfield Christian A & B; Mt. Gilead A & B; Northmor A & B; Northwestern; Ontario A & B; Plymouth-Shiloh A & B; Sacred Heart A & B; Shelby A & B; St. Mary’s of Mansfield; St. Peter’s A & B; Triway; Upper Sandusky A & B; Wooster A & B.

Lexington A was the champion with a score of 110.7, and Crestview A took second place with a score of 102. Lexington A includes Carter G., Ben M., Coulter S., Brody S. and Archer T.

Crestview A is made up of David Souder, Cruz Ramsey, Elianna Kelley, Isla Derr, Annaselin Briggs and Khloe Bernhard.

Mid-Ohio Educational Service Center provides specialized academic and support services to 13 school districts and over 20,000 students in Crawford, Morrow and Richland Counties.

Client districts receive services from curriculum, gifted and special education consultants, speech pathologists, psychologists, special education teachers, occupational therapists and physical therapists.
