BUCYRUS — A Bucyrus resident came home Tuesday to find their house fundamentally changed — by mistake.

According to a Bucyrus Police report, a resident on Home Circle Drive came home around 5:24 p.m. to find their chimney dismantled and a construction truck in their driveway.

The owner of the business was contacted and it was determined that the chimney was removed from the wrong house in the block.

Both parties reached a civil agreement to fix the issue.

4:09 p.m. Officers responded with EMS personnel to the 1100 block of Fremont Street.

4:20 p.m. A resident in the 400 block of Woodlawn Avenue reported someone breaking into his neighbor’s residence. The suspects ran from the scene before officers could respond. Officers are investigating.

5:27 p.m. A verbal warning for soliciting without a permit was issued in the 100 block of E. Southern Avenue.

5:47 p.m. Jon Secrest, 61, was arrested on charges of OVI and a Mansfield PD warrant. He was transported to the Crawford County Justice Center to be held.

6:54 p.m. A verbal domestic disturbance in the 200 block of Blicke Street was investigated.

7:18 p.m. Shawn Cain, 42, and Jennifer Baker, 34, were both arrested on charges of Domestic Violence. They were each transported to the Crawford County Justice Center to be held for court.

7:43 p.m. A disturbance in the 400 block of W. Mary Street was investigated.

7:53 p.m. Items taken in an earlier burglary were located in the 400 block of Woodlawn Avenue and returned to the owners.

8:05 p.m. An employee of McDonald’s reported someone leaving their credit card at the business. Officers brought it to the Police Department for safekeeping.

8:44 p.m. Officers checked the welfare of a resident in the 400 block of Gay Street. EMS responded for a medical emergency at the residence.

8:53 p.m. A report of a suspicious vehicle in the area of Failor and Hull Avenue was investigated.

9:06 p.m. A report of 4 wheelers on the roadway in the area of Wallace and East Street was investigated.

9:10 p.m. A resident in the 100 block of Hopley Avenue reported being assaulted by an unknown person.

9:40 p.m. A report of kids riding a motorized scooter on the roadway on Beverly Drive was investigated.

10:01 p.m. A verbal traffic warning was issued in the area of Beal and Whetstone Street.

10:05 p.m. Officers assisted a motorist locked out of his vehicle in the 600 block of Virginia Avenue.

11:56 a.m. Officers conducted a welfare check in the 700 block of Wilbur St.

2:16 a.m. A verbal traffic warning was given in the 200 block of Whetstone St.

2:27 a.m. Officers assisted with a vehicle lock out at IB Tech.

3:29 a.m. A domestic issue in the 300 block of W. Warren St. was investigated.

5:47 a.m. A resident in the 200 block of E. Lucas St. reported her home entered and her purse stolen.

6:03 a.m. Officers checked on the welfare of some dogs in the area of Prospect St. and Hopley Ave.
