Ann J. Seitz, 79, of Galion passed away Friday, June 30, 2017 at Ohio State Medical Center in Columbus.
Born Oct. 20, 1937 in Bellevue, Ohio, she was the daughter of Harold and Clara (Harrison) Hansen. She married Edward J. Seitz on July 27, 1958 and he preceded her on Aug. 3, 1990.
She was a graduate of Bellevue High School and received an Associate of Arts degree in Accounting from North Central Ohio Technical College. She was a very active member of Galion First Church of the Nazarene where she has taught Sunday school for over 40 years and served the church in many other ways.
She served as a 4-H advisor and enjoyed gardening, crafts, baking, sewing and photography. Ann has worked the local voting polls for over 40 years, a position which she took very seriously and enjoyed.
She is survived by her daughters, Teri (Dave) Moore, of Ashland, Lori (Richard) Dixon, of Auburndale, Florida, Patti (Carl Libby) Seitz, of Fort Worth, Texas; sons, Kris (Carol) Seitz, of Bethany, Illinois, and Dan (Jennifer) Seitz, of Ontario, Ohio; grandchildren, Dustin Seitz, Michael Moore, Jennifer Simmerman, Nathaniel and Nicholas Dixon, Amanda, Wesley and Jessica Seitz, Megan Trevino, Brandon Holley, Julia Sherman, Brian, Emily and Allison Seitz; 13 great-grandchildren; 10 siblings, Mary Russell, Frances Pennix, Alice Jackson, Sue Hagsten, Ruth Ryan, Martha, Harold, Harland, Gary and Carl Hansen.
In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by a son and daughter-in-law, Gene and Sandie Seitz and brother, Harlow Hansen.
The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, July 3, 2017 at the Richardson Davis Chapel of Snyder Funeral Homes, 218 South Market St., Galion, Ohio 44833. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, July 5, 2017 at Galion First Church of the Nazarene, 777 Fairview Ave., Galion, Ohio. 44833 with Dr. Rick McCartney officiating. Burial will follow at Crawford County Memory Gardens in Crestline.
Memorial contributions may be made to Richland County 4-H in care of the funeral home.
