MANSFIELD — Keep on smiling, folks. Emerson was right. It’s winter.
A few days after north central Ohio experienced thunderstorms and heavy rain, the National Weather Service office in Cleveland has spun the weather dial on us again.
The meteorologists have issued a hazardous weather outlook Sunday for all of north central Ohio, an area that includes Richland, Ashland, Knox and Crawford counties.
Widespread snow is expected across the area late Sunday morning and into Sunday night. Accumulations of one to three inches are expected with the heaviest snow coming in the afternoon.
The high temperature Sunday will be 34 with southeast winds of five to seven miles per hour. The chance of snow is 90 percent.
There is a 40-percent chance of snow showers Sunday night with a low around 29 and winds from the north at 6 to 10 miles per hour.
The work week begins on Monday dry, but overcast. The high on Monday will be 33 with a low around 27.
