The art of giving and the giving of art — a holiday tradition for 45 years — has returned to the Mansfield Art Center. The 2014 Holiday Fair runs through Dec. 30 at the Art Center, 700 Marion Ave.
The Holiday Fair brings artists and the community together in a festive atmosphere, where holiday shoppers can find unique, imaginative gifts from a wide variety of artistic disciplines.
The vast selection of artisan-made gifts includes paintings, drawings photographs, ceramics, art glass, prints, fiber wearables and great gifts for children. The wares will be displayed on both levels of the Art Center.
Woodworkers will present hand-crafted pieces including bowls, pepper mills, tables, benches and more. Jewelry designers have created hundreds of necklaces, earrings and imaginative accessories for the Holiday Fair.
Admission to the Holiday Fair is free. Hours are 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily and closed on Mondays.
For two weeks during the Holiday Art Fair, the Mansfield Art Center attendees can enjoy a bowl of homemade soup while shopping for unique gifts. Soup au Fair will be serving 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 2 through Friday, Dec. 5, and Tuesday, Dec. 9, through Friday, Dec. 12. The suggested donation for Soup au Fair is $8.
