Wanda F. Knight, 76, of Galion went to be with her Lord, Thursday, July 17, 2014 at Galion Pointe Nursing Center.
Born Aug. 4, 1937 in Olive Hill, Kentucky, she was the daughter of Samuel and Mildred Louise (Wilburn) Salyers. She married Sharon Lee Knight on May 26, 1955 and he preceded her on Dec. 27, 2005.
She enjoyed going to garage sales, watching TV and most of all spending time with her family.
She is survived by herchildren, Randy (Connie) Knight of Galion, Debra (Ronald) Johnson of Mansfield and John (Coletta) Knight of Mansfield; grandchildren, Holly (James) Luckacena, Amanda (Jeremy) Pelfrey, Laura (Jerry) Bowling, LaDawn (Eric) Howell, Aaron Shankle, Misty Knight and fiancé’ James Nelson, Randi Knight and Ashley Knight; 19 great-grandchildren; sisters, Sue (Paul) Stevenson of Morgantown, W. Va. and Kathy (David) Campbell of St. Clairsville; and her faithful companion, her dog Sophie.
In addition to her parents and husband, she is also preceded by a brother, Daniel Salyers.
The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday, July 20, 2014 at Snyder Funeral Home Richardson Davis Chapel in Galion where services will be held at 4 p.m. Sunday, July 20. Burial will be in Mansfield Memorial Park.
