In the community and in the workplace, it takes strong, effective leaders to accomplish goals and enhance the quality of life—that’s according to Crawford Unlimited Leadership (CU Lead). CU Lead is a 9-month program that strengthens leadership skills and coaches participants on how to better serve their community and their organization.

Registration materials are due Aug. 1 and classes begin Sept. 19. The curriculum focuses on developing 21st century workforce skills: critical thinking, problem–based learning, communication, collaboration and creativity.

Participants will learn about Crawford County–its history, people, strengths, challenges, and opportunities;  come to understand community trusteeship and the benefits of a life-long commitment to community service; and apply leadership and community engagement skills by working on a Crawford: 20/20 Vision initiative.

CU Lead is Crawford: 20/20 Vision’s Leadership Development and Community Awareness program. The program prepares participants to impact their community and their workplace, and prepares them to mentor tomorrow’s leaders. Tuition for each participant is $1,000, but it is an investment in leadership.

Crawford: 20/20 Vision seeks to revitalize Crawford County, Ohio from the inside out. Each of our communities—Bucyrus, Galion, Crestline, New Washington, Tiro, North Robinson and Chatfield—are challenged with declining population, private-sector businesses, employment, and workforce while poverty, drug abuse and other public safety concerns continue to rise.

Crawford: 20/20 Vision is a plan to reverse these trends and build a stronger county! Crawford County citizens helped write this plan and we are working hard to achieve its goals.
