The Ohio Genealogical Society (OGS) held their annual conference at the Kalahari Resort & Convention Center in Sandusky earlier this month.
During the conference, several members were honored.
Sunda Anderson Peters, who has served as the OGS President for the past four years, was thanked for her hard work.
The award for Outstanding OGS Chapter Officer was presented to Missy Heisz Derrenberger. This award is presented to a person who has been a chapter officer during the 2013 chapter program year and has performed exemplary service to the chapter.
The Fellow of The Ohio Genealogical Society Award was presented to Joan Hamilton Wyatt. This award is given to an individual who has provided valuable service to the Society and to the field of genealogy through volunteer work, special projects, or their expertise or skill in accomplishing a goal for the Society.
All three of the above OGS members are also members of Jared Mansfield Chapter Daughters of the American Revolution.
