Joseph H. Karl, 78, passed away peacefully on Friday, Feb. 9, 2018, with his family surrounding him.
Joseph was born on Sept. 8, 1939, in Tiro, to Charles and Marie (Olson) Karl. He enjoyed bowling, baseball, coffee and cigarettes. He spent much of his time after retirement at Mr. T’s Coffee Shop downtown. He was a hard worker providing for his wife and children.
He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Beverly Karl; six children and their spouses, Peggy Bellomy, Donald Boyd, Jim Boyd, Debra Wimer, David Boyd and Joseph Karl; 12 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; two siblings, Bonnie Hall and Gene Karl; and two half siblings, Pearl Diller and Harold Olson.
Karl was preceded in death by his parents; his daughter, Haley Boyd; and two brothers.
The family will observe private calling hours at Werner-Gompf Funeral Services, 1106 Park Avenue East, Mansfield, Ohio.
