Florence Lucille Ramsey, 98, passed away on Tuesday, November 3, 2026, at Magnolia Terrace Assisted Living. She was born on August 18, 1928, in Crestline, Ohio, to the late Albert and Clara (Bennett) Kroegel.

She graduated from Crestline High School and began her career at Kroegel Garage. She later worked alongside her husband, Ralph, at Burch Corp., where she served as secretary and treasurer.

Florence married the love of her life, Ralph Ramsey, on March 12, 1948. Together, they shared many wonderful years filled with love, laughter, and cherished memories until his passing on February 12, 1986.

Florence had a love for life and a spirit of adventure that took her to many wonderful places. She especially enjoyed traveling, making memorable trips to Florida and Hawaii, exploring beautiful destinations throughout Australia, New Zealand, and Europe. Closer to home, some of her happiest times were spent at the family cottage at Pleasant Hill Lake, where she enjoyed weekends throughout the summer surrounded by family and friends.

She was a true people person who treasured friendships and enjoyed any opportunity to gather with others. She was an avid card player and especially loved playing bridge with her friends, often enjoying games that lasted well into the night. She also enjoyed spending time with friends around the card table and making memories along the way.

Her faith was an important part of her life. Florence was a devoted member of Calvary United Church of Christ, where she was actively involved and proudly sang in the church choir. Whether traveling to faraway places, spending summer weekends at the lake, sharing laughter over a game of cards, or cruising around town in her beloved red Buick, Florence embraced life and the friendships that made it so special.

Left to cherish Florence’s memory are her nieces, Suzie (Fred) Zeigler and Marcia Ramsey.

In addition to her parents, Florence was preceded in death by her sister and brother-in-law, Betty and Albert Schwert, and her nephews, Ronald Schwert, Mike Ramsey and Mark Ramsey.
