Crist Allen Brown, 62 of Galion, passed away on Friday, January 30, 2026, at Arbors at Mifflin after battling an extended illness.
Crist was born on August 23, 1963, in Galion to the late Casto and Lois (Beaty) Brown.
Crist was a graduate of Colonel Crawford High School. Following high school, Crist went on to serve our nation faithfully in the United States Air Force, from 1985 until 1994.
He married Julie Fink on April 2, 1992, and they celebrated 32 years of marriage together before her passing on July 11, 2024.
He was a man of strong faith, and it shaped how he lived every day. His family meant everything to him, and he loved nothing more than being together, sharing stories, laughter, and time well spent.
He enjoyed the things that made life fun and familiar. He was a loyal fan of the Dallas Cowboys and the Ohio State Buckeyes and could always be found watching the game and cheering them on. One of his favorite traditions was going to the annual Bowling Green tractor pulls, an event he looked forward to every year and truly enjoyed.
Crist is survived by his daughters, Megan Brown and Carrolyn (Chris) Armstrong; his siblings, Curt (Rhonda) Brown, Terri Gale, Craig (Chris) Brown, Lynette (Sam) Morris, Vicki Hawk and Cary Brown, as well as numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Friends may call on Wednesday, February 4, 2026, from 4:00pm until 6:00pm at the Gompf Funeral Service – Galion Chapel, 303 Portland Way N. A service will be held on Thursday, February 5, 2026, at 10:00am at the funeral home. Burial to follow at Crawford County Memory Gardens.
