Talle Sowers, age 73, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, September 7, 2025, at Banner Hospital in Glendale, Arizona. Born on July 27, 1952, in Ontario, Ohio to Willis and Dorothy Sowers, Talle divided his life between his Ohio roots and his adopted home of Arizona.
A proud graduate of Ontario High School, Talle was a talented multi-sport athlete, excelling in both basketball and track & field. His passion for sports continued throughout his life as an unwavering fan of Ohio athletics, particularly his beloved Ohio State Buckeyes.
Talle was known for his exceptional skill in billiards, regularly competing in tournaments, including many in Las Vegas. He found joy in life’s simple pleasures – fishing, mushroom hunting in the woods of Ohio, and quoting his favorite movie one-liners, which never failed to bring a smile to those around him.
He is survived by his son Tyler Sowers (Bowen Marshall) of Chicago, IL, and sister Carol Newport of Glendale, AZ. He was preceded in death by his parents, Willis and Dorothy Sowers.
In keeping with Talle’s wishes and spirit, the family asks that in lieu of a formal service and flowers, friends and loved ones celebrate his memory in their own personal way, remembering the joy and laughter he brought to their lives.
