MANSFIELD — ManAfest made the most of its new location this year.

Typically placed in Mansfield’s Central Park, the seventh edition of the art and community festival ran from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday along West Fourth Street — near the Richland Carrousel Park and the Richland Academy of the Arts.

The shift in location was due to the ongoing Main Street Corridor Improvement Project that has resulted in numerous closures and disruptions between First and Sixth streets.

But downtown construction did not keep local artists from sharing and selling their work.

The six-hour event also included several demonstrations, ranging from spinning wheel weaving and glassblowing to wood furniture making and robotics. Live music was also featured inside the Richland Academy of the Arts.

Other highlights included performances from members of the Mansfield Shakespeare Company and local authors who read excerpts from their books.

A handful of food trucks were also on site to serve festivalgoers.
