MOUNT VERNON — A Mount Vernon man was arrested and charged with two felonies after a search warrant was executed on a Martinsburg Road residence, according to a Friday afternoon press release from the Mount Vernon Police Department.
Aaron Eldridge, 66, was taken to the Knox County Jail without incident, authorities stated.
According to police, Eldridge is charged with a second-degree felony of pandering sexually orientated material involving a minor, and a first-degree felony trafficking in drugs. Further charges may be forthcoming.
The warrant stemmed from an ongoing investigation for possession of child pornography, police stated.
During the search of the residence, evidence of child pornography was seized, along with 100 grams of cocaine, LSD, psilocybin mushrooms, prescription pills, marijuana and drug paraphernalia. Additionally, detectives seized a firearm and over $10,000 in cash.
