MANSFIELD – The 2025 Mid-Ohio Educational Service Center spelling bee season concluded with resounding success, showcasing the exceptional spelling talents of students across Crawford, Morrow and Richland counties on Thursday, February 13th at Mid-Ohio ESC in Mansfield, Ohio.
An impressive group of 26 of the top spellers were invited to compete to be the Tri-County Spelling Bee Champion. The competition included spellers from 13 local school districts in grades 4-8.
After several intense rounds of competition, Quinn Ramsey, an eighth grader from Crestview and Lily Mills, an 8th grader from St. Joseph, Crestline went head-to-head for several more rounds before Quinn claimed the title of Spelling Bee Champion with the correct spelling of “fungi.” Runner-up honors were awarded to Lily.
“The spelling bee events give our students with academic talents the chance to be in the public spotlight,” said Colleen Haynes, the spelling bee coordinator for Mid-Ohio ESC.
“We are proud to host events like the Tri-County Spelling Bee to allow those students a chance to shine and celebrate their hard work and dedication to academics and their passion for learning and growth.
