Patricia Fay Rinehart, 81, of Galion, passed away on Monday, January 20, 2025, at her home surrounded by her loving family.
Born on March 8, 1943, in Galion, to the late Joseph and Isabell (Miller) Campo. Patricia’s roots in this tight-knit community shaped the beautiful life she led. Patricia met and married the love of her life, the late Richard “Dick” Rinehart on August 31, 1957. They spent sixty-one wonderful years together.
Pat enjoyed painting and coloring. She loved camping and her time vacationing in Florida. Pat loved decorating for Christmas and enjoyed collecting Red Glass. She was a homemaker most of her life. Patricia worked for eleven years at the former Deca in Lexington.
Left to cherish her memories are her children: Rick Rinehart of Galion, Randy (Joyce) Rinehart of Lexington, Rob (Laurie) Rinehart of Galion, Rhonda Casteel of Galion; 13 grandchildren, and 23 great-grandchildren: brother-in-law William (Barb) Rinehart, sister-in-law Phyllis (Chuck) Shults, Carol Appleman, Linda (Rex) Crawford, and Pat Ballard.
In addition to her parents, Patricia is preceded in death by her infant daughters, Rebecca and Deanna Lynn, Charlie (Mary) Downs, son-in-law Oscar Casteel, sister Isabell Shoup, sister-in-law Shirley (Dale) Knowlton, brothers-in-law Donald Appleman and Chester Shoup, and dogs, Buffy and Molly.
Friends may call on Monday, January 27, 2025, from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm at Mark A. Schneider-Gompf Funeral Home, 303 Portland Way North, Galion. Services will take immediately following at 1:00 pm with Chaplain Rick Utt officiating. Burial will follow taking place at Iberia Cemetery.
In Lieu of Flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude’s Hospital.
