MANSFIELD — It appears Mansfield City Council plans to ease into 2025.
There are just five pieces of legislation on the agenda for Tuesday night’s meeting, none of which seem likely to be cause for debate.
No committee meetings are scheduled. Council caucus is set to begin at 7 p.m. with the legislative session following immediately afterward.

Legislation includes:
— a renewal of the city administration’s ability to sell “unneeded, obsolete and unfit” property on GovDeals.com. The city has used the internet selling location since 2004.
— authorization of the acceptance of a $20,000 donation from the Gorman Family Foundation to be used by the Mansfield Police Department drone program.
— the appointment of 3rd Ward Councilman Rev. El Akuchie to the Richland County Regional Planning Commission.
— the appointment of Gabe Zader to represent the 6th Ward on the Police Review and Community-Police Relations Commission.
— approve the following changes in pay grades for city employees:
— increase the top annual salary range for the administrative assistant in the engineering department to $60,000, up from $55,000.
— increase the top annual salary range for the administrative assistant in the Mansfield Fire Department to $60,000, up from $55,000.
— increase the top annual salary range for the administrative assistant in the Finance Director’s Office to $60,000, up from $55,000.
— increase the top annual salary range for the administrative assistant in the Parks & Recreation Department to $60,000, up from $55,000.
— increase the top annual salary range for the administrative assistant in the Permitting & Development Department to $60,000, up from $55,000.
— increase the top annual salary range for the administrative assistant in the Safety Service Office to $60,000, up from $55,000.
— increase the minimum and top salary ranges for the water treatment plant operations supervisor to $55,000-$75,000, up from $50,000-$70,000.
Council continues to meet in Mansfield Municipal Courtroom 1 while council chambers is being renovated. Residents planning to attend should park in the upper lot off Park Avenue and enter through the Park Avenue entrance.
