MANSFIELD — Whether you’re planning a night out or a family-friendly celebration to salute the new year, Mansfield and surrounding communities have plenty of festivities to ring in 2025.
Here’s a list of some celebrations for everyone in your party.
Shelby’s Marvin Memorial Library is hosting a countdown to noon on Monday, Dec. 30 with DJ Mr. Ed, sparkling grape juice and cookies, a photo op, games and crafts. The event is from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
The Mansfield-Richland County Public Library branches in downtown Mansfield, Madison Township, Lexington and Butler are hosting “Countdown to NOON Year’s Eve” for families and children. Festivities start at 11 a.m. with crafts, games, music and a New Year’s countdown.
Teens can enjoy “Nerfin’ in the New Year” from 1 to 4 p.m. at the main library with a signed waiver from a parent or guardian.
Mansfield to celebrate 4th annual NYE fireworks, ball drop
The Phoenix Brewing Company will host musician Charles Geil from 7:30 to 11 p.m. Tuesday, and the Black Willow food truck will also be on-site from 3 to 11 p.m. The spirit room upstairs will close at 10:30 p.m. and the taproom will close at 11 p.m. so patrons can enjoy fireworks and the ball drop in Central Park.
Warehouse Tavern is also hosting a party Tuesday with a black and gold theme, including photo-ops.
Hickory Vines Winery in Mifflin Township will celebrate the new year with musicians Karen Clifton, David King and Bobby Caudill performing from 6 p.m. to midnight. Reservations are not required, but Hickory Vines will accept reservations with fees starting at $15 for a small round table that seats 2 people, and going up to $100 for the entire bourbon room that seats up to 11 people. Call 419-571-0475 to reserve your spot. Grunt Grub food truck will also be on-site.
Hudson & Essex is debuting its 2025 menu on Tuesday starting at 6 p.m. Reserve a spot online or by calling 419-513-5151 for the main dining room or Cypress Hill Winery.
The Local @ 97 in Lexington will host musician Damien Lucio from 8 top 11 p.m. and dinner specials all Tuesday evening starting at 5 p.m.
The Vault Wine Bar in Shelby will offer a New Year’s Eve buffet from 5 to 10 p.m. featuring a prime rib carving station for $39 per person. Call 567-292-9081 for reservations.
The Mansfield Liederkranz is hosting The Ohio Express band from 8 p.m. to midnight on Tuesday at 1212 Silver Lane. Tickets in advance for Liederkranz members are $20 and $25 for non-members. Tickets at the door are $25 for members and $30 for non-members. Call 419-529-3064 to reserve your tickets.
Snow Trails will open its tubing park at 9 a.m. New Year’s Eve and offer opportunities to ride through 1 a.m., including glow tubing. Snow Trails provides kiddie, adult single, or double tubes so people of all ages can enjoy snow tubing. Tickets are $35 per person for two hours of tubing.
The Pub House 123 in Galion will host its second annual “pickle drop,” this year, with a lighted decorative pickle approximately 5 feet tall. The festivities will include live music from 8 to 10 p.m. Tuesday night and the official pickle drop at midnight. Harding Way will be blocked off from 11:30 p.m. to 12:30 a.m. The Pub House will also offer specialty drinks, pickle-themed appetizers and a photo op inside.
Dan Lew Exchange (DLX) is hosting a dinner buffet from 7 to 9 p.m. featuring China Club favorites and prime rib. Tito Cantina & Grill nacho bar will serve late-night snacks. The restaurant is also featuring a DJ, dancing, games, photo booth, a champagne toast and party favors. The Jimi Vincent Band will perform in the Kobacker Room from 8 to 11 p.m. and the Jessica Hannan Band will perform in the outdoor warmed tent from 9 p.m. to midnight. Reservations are required and dinner starts at $125 per person, not including alcohol, tax or gratuity. Call 419-522-7699 for reservations.
Ringin’ in the Square in Mansfield’s Central Park will mark its 4th annual celebration with live music, food trucks, a WMFD live broadcast, fireworks and a ball drop to begin 2025. Festivities begin at 7 p.m. with midnight welcoming the ball drop and fireworks. Free ice skating starts at 8 p.m. and the Jessica Hannan Band will perform in the outdoor tent from 9 p.m. to midnight. The City of Mansfeld, Rick Taylor, Dan Lew, DLX and Rumpke are sponsoring the event.
