William A Koontz
William (Bill) Koontz, 85, of Mansfield, Ohio passed away Wednesday, October 23, 2024
at Arbors at Mifflin. Born December 10, 1938 in Mansfield Ohio. He was the son of George Koontz and Elizabeth (Vessey) Koontz-Weaver.
Bill was a Marine Corps veteran and retired from the USPS, where he worked as a letter carrier and was active in the NALC Union.
Bill is survived by his daughters Nanci Cover of Columbus and Cheri (Mark) Gaul of Mansfield. Step-children Terry (Karen) Allen of Lexington, Mike (Jeanette) Allen of Galion, Diana Castle (Tim Hambly) of Mansfield. Sister-in-law Carol Koontz of Arizona. Five grandchildren, many great-grandchildren, cousins, nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceeded in death by his wife Shirley Allen-Koontz, daughter Jodi Hale, brother Tom Koontz, grandson Nicholas Cover and step-father Ralph Weaver.
A graveside service will be held at a later date. The family wishes to thank Southern Care Hospice for their services.
